Yesterday I made the card on our front page to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. We decided this year that we aren't mailing cards, so I hope you will forgive our ecard! I started with lots of pictures and a year in review, and then cut and cut and cut. I said "what do we really want to convey here?" and then I cut some more. What thrilled me as I reviewed 2010, is that whether we are serving the Lord in what might seem like "big ways", (conferences etc...) or what may seem like "small ways", (caring for mom etc...) all are lead by the Lord. Our job is simply to follow where He leads. God asks of us is faithfulness! I would like to be a faithful follower because I love and trust the One in the lead. This is why I'm singing:
All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav'nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate'er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate'er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.
All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread;
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.
All the way my Savior leads me
O the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father's house above.
When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages-
Jesus led me all the way;
This my song through endless ages-
Jesus led me all the way.
