Home Nan's I Care Blog Changes

I think one of the hardest things about caring for someone is watching the changes that occur daily as they journey home. At the same time, one of the most thrilling things about caring for someone is watching the changes that occur in me.

Perseverance.
Sympathy.
Patience.
Joy.
Gratitude.

God is giving me a make over! It's amazing.
It's painful.
It's lovely.
Thank you, Lord.

When we respond correctly to the disciplines in our life, God changes us.
I want to respond and learn. Don't you?

I'm writing these blogs so that I will remember what God is doing, but also to encourage you. Whatever you are going through right now, submit to God.
He'll change you... and that's a good thing.

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations,
knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;
and perseverance,
proven character; and proven character,
hope;
and hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:3-5

I've learned so much over the years through the times when He's working on changing me. I'm praying for you as you walk through this season in life. I'm praying for Mumsy too. Her life is changing daily as well. Is she aware?
I read to mom and prayed and sang with her similar to you. I could tell she knew the end was near. It was sort of hard towards the end as I realized she was 'leaving' us as she became less and less 'with us' and more 'not with us'.
I learned a lot about really letting go...when I thought I already had. May you listen with your heart to what Father is saying as these days pass.
Love you...

Thank you so much for your comments Mary. I appreciate you as one who has gone before and knows the path! Yes, she is aware for the most part. I value your prayer. We do have a loving heavenly Father and I appreciate that He leads and is near.
Love you!
