Mumsy's life is pretty simple right now.
It consists of one thing, living. Oh, yes, she eats and sleeps and loves God's people, but that's it. She is enjoying a simple life filled with simple pleasures.
(I love that for her!)

In one sense my life gotten pretty simple. I take care of mumsy (so there are lots of things I can't do, or won't do, or don't do.) I find great pleasure in this simple life. (I love that for me!)

It hasn't always been simple. When mumsy's care got to the 24/7 level, I had to stop doing a lot of other things, so I could care for her. It was complicated until God helped me simplify.

This verse struck me today: "But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ."
2 Corinthians 11:3

Hmmm....Simplicity of devotion to Christ.
Our life should simply be devoted to Christ!
We shouldn't have our affections drawn away by anyone or anything else.
(Not even our SELVES!)
Pretty simple.

Then why does it seem complicated?

Satan wants it complicated.
Satan will fool us into thinking it's complicated.
Nope! It's simple.
(I love that for us!)

Now we have to work at getting it and keeping it simple.
It's all about devotion to Christ!

More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee.
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Once earthly joy I craved, sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, give what is best.
This all my prayer shall be: More love, O Christ to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
