"So Jesus, being wearied from His journey, was sitting thus by the well."
John 4:6 (KJV says He sat on the well.)

The Lord gave this word to me one weary morning, I thought you would enjoy it too!
This verse encourages me on so many levels. It is worth some meditation!

The LORD was weary!
The omnipotent One who created the world, weary. Think about it! Wow!
The Lord was WEARY!
Fatigued. So much so that he sat on the well.
Have you been so weary you just had to sit down? I have!
The LORD WAS WEARY!
He understands my weariness and yours. I find that very comforting!
His weariness was a result of His JOURNEY.
So many good thoughts here! It was result of His journey, and mine too.
(Wow, I'm following in the footsteps of the Savior!)

I mulled this verse over all that day! I was so comforted seeing the weary Lord Jesus sitting on the well. When putting mumsy to bed in the evening and reading our hymn for the night, I read part of a hymn that never meant so much to me...

alt

Thine almighty arms are round me,
And my head is on Thy breast
For my weary soul has found
Thee such a perfect perfect rest.
Gracious Savior, gracious Savior,
now I know that I am blest.

Thank you, Lord! If you are weary because you are doing your own thing, I'm sad for you!
If you are weary because you are serving the Lord, be encouraged!
YOU are blest!
