I thought it was time to write an update on mom.
She is on a level lately so there has been little to report. (Thank you, Lord!)
Her day consists of:
Oatmeal for breakfast... made by whoever is with her. Usually Craig who covers the night shift.
Morning devotions (also by whoever is there... Craig mostly)
Morning nap (Craig leaves and I start the day shift.)
Her inner alarm wakes her at 11:30 for lunch. (Not kidding...that alarm always works!)
Lunch
Nap time
2:00-4:00 our Very Dear Neighbor reads to her
Nap until 4:30 when that inner alarm sounds for supper. (again, not kidding... and it's never late!)
Supper
If she's in the mood: TV news and Wheel of Fortune
7:00 bed routine... my favorite part is I always ask her something she enjoyed about the day... very interesting replies!
Evening hymn. (We are on our second trip through the hymn book. It's amazing what you can accomplish on a consistant basis!)
Pretty simple life, huh?
I want you to know she is the most godly older woman I know.
She doesn't complain.
She is grateful.
I count it a priviledge to care for her.
